Online Booking System Update Live
We have updated the online booking system with the following changes :
1. Fluid Layout Sizing
The online booking system is now capable of being displayed on your website or via a popup at almost any size you require. There is a minimum width and height but effectively no maximum dimensions.
2. Customisable Colour Schemes
You can now completely change the colour schemes used for the online booking system, via your administration area. This can be done without making any changes to your website / integration code.
3. iPhone, iPad and Android* compatibility
The new version now displays and works great on mobile devices.
For the iPad and iPhone, the users can even add your booking system to their home screen, turning it into a web-app for their device.
This opens the system full screen, without the safari navigation buttons and address bar .
It also provides a loading splash screen, personalised with your company name, altough we are still tweaking this for iPad users.
*We have not tested all android devices, only a small selection.
4. New Integration Wizard
A new integration wizard has been added to your members area to help you setup and configure how the booking system is integrated into your website. The integration code is written depending on the options you provide.
5. New option for overriding the front screen columns
Whilst nothing major, this can be used to make the initial page display look better on your website, depending on if you choose a narrow or a wider layout width.
6. Various other changes
The popup box border has been modified with rounded edges on most browsers
A please wait screen has been added when changing pages, so the user knows something is going on, especially with a slow internet connection.
Although Javascript is in use, it is not dependant on it, so the system will still work the same with javascript disabled in the browser.
Front Screen : Services will now show a 'fully booked' message if there are no available days / times in the allowed booking period you specify, rather than your customers clicking through multiple days to find none available.
Front Screen : Now disables a service if no 'open days' are specified (monday to sunday)
This gives an effective way to temporarily disable a service without losing all the information you have added. Simply untick all 7 days from the 'booking times' option.
Month Calendar : Now checks each day to see how many slots are available, if none, it automatically closes the day. On mouse over, it should also display a tooltip of how many slots are free.
Month Calendar : Will now jump to the next available month, if for instance November was fully booked, it would check December and go directly to that month instead.
