Garage Assistant GA3 - for the iPhone & iPad
To make use of Garage Assistant GA3 on your iPhone or iPad you will need to purchase the third-party utility "FileMaker Go" from the app store / iTunes.

There are no additional fee's incurred from SWS Solutions in regards to using GA3 on your iOS device.
Its also important to note that each copy of FileMaker Go can be authorised for up to 5 devices as long as they are authorised within iTunes.
How you use GA3 with your device will also depend on what you want to achieve and which version of Garage Assistant you own.
Unfortunately, we cannot offer a trial version of this since we have no control over how FileMaker Go is distributed being that it is a third party application sold by FileMaker directly.

If using an iPhone we recommend an iPhone 3GS or iPhone 4 due to the increased performance
iOS 4 is required for iPhones / iPod's. iOS3 for the iPad
GA3 Network Editions and iPhone / iPad
With the network edition you can use your iPhone or iPad as a client, allowing you to remotely link up to your server install and view / edit your data as you would with a standard desktop client.

Single User Editions
With the single user edition of GA3 you can still take advantage of iPhone / iPad compatibility. You can copy the GA3 files to your device via itunes and make use of the system as a single user on your device.
When you have finished, you can copy the files back to your desktop to continue where you left off.
There is currently no ability to sync the two copies so you should only work in one at any one time, or possibly consider the network edition of GA3.

Optimised interface for iPhones
The interface for the iPhone version has been optimised for the smaller screen.

The interface for the iPad version is almost identical to that of the desktop.
Limitations
Whilst the majority of GA3's features work perfectly on these devices, there are some limitations which include :
- No printing facilities
- No export / email facilities
- No synchronisation facilities
There are various other limitations such as chart's are currently not working and a few other minor issues which we are addressing
Whilst we are making every effort to ensure full compatibility with these devices, we do not guarantee
that every feature in the desktop version will work on an iOS device.
