 Q. Unable to send emails from GA3 - Server Times Out

It has come to our attention that some internet service providers, such as Orange or Sky are blocking a specific port number required for outgoing emails.

If you receive a time out error and are with Orange, Sky or any other provider (other than BT or Virgin) you may need to make the following small change in Garage Assistant :

  1. Goto Admin
  2. Goto Email Settings
  3. Change SMTP Server Port (in the lower left)  from 25 to 587

Email should now work as expected, if not, please ensure your firewall or any other software is allowing Garage Assistant / FileMaker Pro (network version) through your firewall.
