Q. Whats the easiest way to transfer GA3 to a NEW PC
If you are replacing your old PC and want to know the easiest way to transfer everything across follow these simple instructions
THIS GUIDE IS FOR THE SINGLE USER EDITION ONLY.
Network Editions require a different method, contact us if you need assistance.
Firstly, it is important that you Install GA3 onto the NEW PC (from your CD or download from our website). Once installed follow the instructions below:
On your OLD PC
- Goto Start
- My Computer
- Local Disk C:
Copy the entire Garage Assistant V2 (or V3) folder to a CD or USB drive
On your NEW PC
- Goto Start
- My Computer
- Local Disk C:
Copy the Garage Assistant V3 folder from your USB / CD over the top of the newly installed version.
It is important to over-write any existing files on your NEW PC
This way you will not have to do any backup / restoring and it will ensure all files are the correct version.
